Situated at Te Arai overlooking the ocean, the home is built around a sheltered courtyard, the entrance gallery precisely centred on Sail rock.
The nickname Tractor House comes from early stages of the project when the clients tractor was broken down and he thought Johns initial call was the tractor repair man. Weirdly, a follow up call by john weeks later was met with the same tractor repair man confusion as the tractor had broken down again. The Tractor House was born.
Tractor House really caught on, adding an old red tractor into the visuals and on move in day the clients were surprised with an old Massey Ferguson tractor as the arrival sculpture.
